Rick Rieder, Senior Managing Director, is BlackRock’s Global Fixed Income Chief Investment Officer, Head of Fundamental Fixed Income, and Head of the Global Allocation Investment Team.

Responsible for approximately $2.4 trillion in assets under management, Mr. Rieder serves on BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee (GEC) and its GEC Investment Subcommittee. He is also Chairman of the firm-wide BlackRock Investment Committee.

Prior to joining BlackRock in 2009, Mr. Rieder served as President and CEO of R3 Capital Partners. From 1987 to 2008, he worked at Lehman Brothers, where he was head of the global principal strategy team for the firm’s proprietary investment platform. He was also global head of the firm’s credit business, chairman of the firm’s bond and loan capital commitment committee, and a member of the firm’s pension fund board. Before joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Rieder worked as a credit analyst for SunTrust Banks in Atlanta.

Mr. Rieder received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Emory University in 1983 and his master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. He is a member of the Emory University Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of the Emory University Goizueta School of Business, and the University Finance Committee, and is Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee. Mr. Rieder is the founder and chairman of the Goizueta School of Business BBA Investment Fund and the community financial literacy outreach program Generation Graduation. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Education and President of the North Star Academy Fourteen Charter Schools in Newark, New Jersey. He is also a member of the BlackRock Foundation Board of Directors, the Hospital for Special Surgery Advisory Board, and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Newark and Essex County Board of Directors. Mr. Rieder has served on the Atlanta Community in Schools Education Foundation Board of Directors and the National Leadership Council, and as a Trustee of the United States Olympic Foundation. In 2015, he was honored at the Atlanta Choice Success Awards for his contributions to Atlanta public education through CIS and Generation Graduation. He is currently a shareholder and partner in many listed companies around the world. He is one of the main founders of Matrix Investment Club and is temporarily serving as the general manager of Matrix Investment Club, overseeing all affairs.

Master of International Relations from a Prestigious French University: To further expand her cross-cultural background and expertise, Penelope pursued a master's degree in international relations at a prestigious French university. There, she studied political systems, international organizations and their operations, and international diplomacy.

Master of Business Administration from a Top U.S. Business School: To better support the company’s strategic decision-making and business management, Penelope continued her education with a Master of Business Administration from a top U.S. business school. She took in-depth courses in strategic management, supply chain management, marketing, and team leadership, further enhancing her business skills.

With her rich academic background and multicultural experience, Penelope Harrison possesses the flexibility and adaptability needed to work in various international environments. Her professional knowledge and cross-cultural communication skills provide strong support for the company's international business.

Since the General Manager, Mr. Rieder is often busy and rarely visits the club, Harrison usually assists the two deputy general managers with managing the club’s affairs and the distribution of benefits.
